Who are you and what do you do?

Hi there! My name is Dylan, or as known online, Katz.

For the past several years, I have been doing all kinds of art, from traditional paper-and-pencil to modding video game graphics. Making any kind of art is my favorite hobby. I also collect a lot of things from action figures to old video games.

Why make comics (and choose Freakanimes?)

My character – The Masked Katz – was created when I was around 8 years old and while I was in 2nd grade. I loved this series of books called Captain Underpants that I used to read at my school library and it inspired me to use my abilities as an artist to make something big of my own. I made over 200 pages over of my own comic during a couple of years or so and I quickly became known to be an artist by my teachers and classmates from working on them during class. Even when I was done with the series, I stayed hooked to the characters I had made along the way, drawing them and including them in stuff that I still make to this day.

I have gotten a lot better with art through out the years and I have always wanted to ‘grow bigger’, do something more than just doodle comics in class. My friend “Stones” (the creator of Stones of Anarchy, which you can also find on Freakanimes!) interested me with this site and its community, and I saw it as the opportunity to take that chance. I’m hoping I’ll be able to bring back the series I once wished to create and to make some good friends along the way!
